4 Girls #2 (Flourish), (2022), Fabric wall sculpture. (1080 x 1350 x  100 mm)

This fabric wall sculpture is inspired by the intertwined yet individual lives of me with my three sisters, represented by four coloured fabric streams, three shades of pink and one yellow. It also speaks of the lives of girls and women who shine both individually and collectively. Uniquely individual flowers speak of these flourishing lives, with smaller blossoms representing children and following generations. The two-toned brown background acknowledges Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand's traditional owners as I was born and grew up in Aotearoa New Zealand yet have spent most of my adult life in Australia.
